This post is late but we wanted to write a shout out to Jan who came and visited us early May for 3 nights.  It was great to have a neutral opinion on board while Trevor and I still hashed out details of our trip.  Not to say that we didn’t have a ton of fun:

  • Jan and I exhausted the local thrift stores in downtown Ventura,
  • Trevor cooked on our new BBQ,
  • we found out what the crazy “snap, crackle, pop” sound was from our neighbor and had a good laugh,
  • shopped to complete our galley (kitchen) utensils and Jan graciously bought Trevor a new pan
  • and Jan cooked in full boat mode one of her recipes of delicious polenta pancakes with cilantro (good hot or cold!).

To say the least, we had a BLAST! The next week, we received a “care” package from Jan which contained awesome gifts of little things we needed but just hadn’t gotten around to purchasing like sim card readers, plastic containers, Kindle books and backing, and more!

Jan, we are so grateful for all the thoughtfulness and of course for your love and support.  Jan_Seals

  1. I’m just so excited for your adventure, even though I’m going to miss you guys so much! I love knowing that I helped with a little bit of the outfitting, and that there’s a Gold Creek rock that will be traveling around the world with you, somewhere on the Slow Flight. Even if it gets lost and ends up in the bilge, that’s okay, LOL.

Love you both, be safe, be happy, and above all, have a great time!

  2. So I’m noodling (actually, Googling) around, wondering what all of your contact info is or does – and I came across a bunch of vessel tracking sites – where I can find your approximate location by vessel name, although the MMSI is different from the one you’ve listed here. These sites seem to know where you are, generally speaking (one of them thought you were still up in Ventura).

This one has you in anchored at Two Harbors off Catalina, but check out the MMSI, which is consistent across three sites that I checked out:

    Anyway, that’s kind of cool!
