Well…another year has passed….most of you know that I don’t like the “lime light”…however….I also don’t enjoy being sick.
As soon as we anchored back down in Crater Bay from Nosy Komba…my throat started to feel rough and nose started to get runny…. We had big plans to go to the Yacht Club for the Sunday Pig BBQ to celebrate my birthday the next day with folks but when I woke up Sunday morning, I had a fever of 101.2 (Fahrenheit)!
However, with that said, I was showered with gifts from SV Neptune’s Highway of hand made accessories, a slice of home (Seattle Mariners hat), and a musical nudge (ukulele case….waiting to be occupied). SV Beez Neez also lavished upon me a new “Maki” (lemur) sarong…yellow of course, chocolate (well gone by now), and a super cute little stuff bag with a Bee motif (adorable!).
Sick as I was….it wasn’t fair that I hold Trevor to the boat so he headed off to the BBQ solo….he came back with a signed pizza box as a birthday card…lucky for him…it had a pizza in it (Bwhahaha)!
I can’t thank Laura and Bruce on Neptune’s Highway and Pepe and Bear on SV Beez Neez for in incredibly thoughtful gifts, it truly meant the world to me!!!
Next up: Quarantined at Russian Bay, Nosy Be, Madagascar….sick as a dog!
