Official &#8211; We are signed up and joined the Pacific Puddle Jump"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, as most of you know, Trevor and I are planning to cross the Pacific Ocean in a few months and have decided to join the official\/unofficial &#8220;fleet&#8221;, Pacific Puddle Jump (aka PPJ).<\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/www.pacificpuddlejump.com\/fleet.html<\/p>\n<p>We are currently in La Cruz, Mexico near Puerto Vallarta and have been busy getting Flo ready for our passage:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ordering parts\/pieces,<\/li>\n<li>replacing lines and rigging,<\/li>\n<li>dentist visits,<\/li>\n<li>attending seminars,<\/li>\n<li>meeting other boats in the fleet,<\/li>\n<li>interviewing potential crew members,<\/li>\n<li>filing taxes (hopefully),<\/li>\n<li>renewing all important insurances and services we need,<\/li>\n<li>double checking our satellite capabilities,<\/li>\n<li>researching all the South Pacific countries for customs and immigration fees and restrictions,<\/li>\n<li>charts and Google Earth images downloaded,<\/li>\n<li>adding hydro-generator<\/li>\n<li>adding solar panels<\/li>\n<li>upgrading all repair kits<\/li>\n<li>upgrading our medical supplies on board<\/li>\n<li>inventory of all spare parts<\/li>\n<li>applying for visas<\/li>\n<li>Lots of upholstery jobs: dinghy chaps, fuel tank covers, cushions \u00a0re-stitched, sail covers re-stitched,<\/li>\n<li>Back up sails cut and sewn<\/li>\n<li>provisioning&#8230;&#8230; will take at least a week but will happen later.<\/li>\n<li>and more that we don&#8217;t know about yet&#8230;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Special Thank you to <strong>Phil and Tammera Dinkins, Jan Augustin, Hannah and Dave Anderson\/Geruox<\/strong> for gathering all of our parts\/pieces needed for our
