However&#8230;we had already committed ourselves to a tour of Nosy Be who SV Starry Horizons had kindly organized the night before (thank you!!!) &#8230;unfortunately Trevor stayed at the boat that day to figure out what&#8217;s what on the boat while I gallivanted around the island of Nosy Be&#8230;he would of loved the tour&#8230;sadly!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you to David and Amy on Starry Horizons for some of these photos&#8230;it&#8217;s always great to share  ; )<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> Early Saturday morning we all hoped into our tour van with our local guide, Achim, and another foreign tourist, apologies&#8230;. I forgot his name already. class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a 30 minute proud paddle, mind you we saw other priogues getting towed in by a motor boat, we took a rest at our lunch spot&#8230;.it was only 9 am or so&#8230;.beer time?!  Yes please!&#8230;.and then we are off into the jungle&#8230;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lokobe National Park is a very popular destination for those seeking to see the endemic species that live on Nosy Be. They sit vertically and leap&#8230;hence the name &#8220;sportive&#8221;&#8230;.for their mode of transportation.  They eat mainly leaves, but because of the low nutritional value of the leaves, they eat their own poop to help with digestion&#8230;?! However, the cat took that as a sign it could &#8220;paw&#8221; away a skewered shrimp&#8230;we all laughed but our park guide was not happy and grabbed the cat and threw it down on the ground with amazing force!!!! The roads were filled with Ylang-ylang plantations.
